أعلن الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة أنطونيو غوتيريش اليوم الجمعة تعيين ديين كيتا من غينيا كمدير تنفيذي جديد لصندوق الأمم المتحدة للسكان خلفًا لناتاليا كانيم من بنما.

وحسب بيان أممي فان كيتيا كانت تشغل منصب المدير التنفيذي بالإنابة لصندوق الأمم المتحدة للسكان ولديها أكثر من ثلاثة عقود من القيادة في التنمية الدولية والخدمة العامة.

وتشمل مسيرتها المهنية، العمل كوزيرة للتعاون والإدماج الأفريقي لجمهورية غينيا، بالإضافة إلى خبرة واسعة داخل الأمم المتحدة.
