اعتبر جيش الاحتلال الإسرائيلي مدينة غزة "منطقة قتال خطيرة"، معلنًا إلغاء سريان التوقف التكتيكي المحلي في النشاط العسكري داخل المدينة، وذلك ابتداءً من الساعة العاشرة من صباح الجمعة.

ونشر جيش الاحتلال بيان له أشار فيه إلى أن هذا التصنيف جاء بناءً على تقييم ميداني وتوجيهات من القيادة السياسية، في ظل استمرار المواجهات وتصاعد العمليات العسكرية في المنطقة.
