اكتشاف ديناصور عاش في المغرب قبل 165 مليون سنة

كشف باحثون عن بقايا متحجرة لديناصور غريب الأطوار عاش قبل 165 مليون سنة في منطقة جبال الأطلس قرب بلدة بولمان بالمغرب.

أُطلق على هذا الديناصور اسم "سبايكوميلوس"، وهو أقدم عضو معروف في مجموعة الديناصورات المدرعة المعروفة باسم "الأنكيلوصورات".

ويبلغ طول "سبايكوميلوس" حوالي 4 أمتار ويتراوح وزنه بين طن وطنين. يتميز هذا الديناصور الآكل للنباتات، الذي يمشي على أربع أرجل، ببطء حركته ودرعه الفريد المكون من أشواك حادة يصل طول بعضها إلى متر واحد، موزعة على ضلوعه وطوق حول رقبته تشبه مضارب الغولف.
