دعا البابا ليو الرابع عشر بابا الفاتيكان لوقف إطلاق نار دائم في غزة وإدخال المساعدات الإنسانية، حسبما أفادت قناة «القاهرة الإخبارية»، في نبأ عاجل.

كما ناشد بابا الفاتيكان، المجتمع الدولي لإنهاء الصراع الإسرائيلي الفلسطيني.

وفى وقت سابق، ناشد البابا ليو الرابع عشر، القوى الكبرى في العالم «وقف الحرب»، خلال أول رسالة له، أمام الحشود في ساحة القديس بطرس، منذ انتخابه بابا الفاتيكان.

ودعا البابا ليو الرابع عشر، في أول قداس له، إلى سلام حقيقي ودائم في أوكرانيا، ووقف إطلاق النار في غزة وإطلاق سراح جميع المحتجزين الإسرائيليين في قطاع غزة.
