جين شاهين: أشعر بالاشمئزاز من قصف إسرائيل لمستشفى في غزة

قالت كبيرة الديمقراطيين في لجنة العلاقات الخارجية بمجلس الشيوخ الأميركي إن حملة القصف التي تنفذها إسرائيل في غزة يجب أن تتوقف، وذلك بعد غارة جوية استهدفت مستشفى وأدت إلى مقتل 6 صحفيين، بينهم متعاون مع وكالة أنباء أسوشيتد برس.

وأضافت السيناتور جين شاهين للصحفيين خلال اتصال من بيروت: "أنا شخصيا أشعر بالاشمئزاز من القصف في غزة ومن مقتل الصحفيين. وأعتقد أن هذا يجب أن يتوقف الآن".

تجدر الإشارة إلى أن شاهين تقوم بجولة في الشرق الأوسط ضمن وفد أميركي يزور المنطقة للقاء الرئيس السوري أحمد الشرع.

ويأتي هذا الموقف في وقت أصبح فيه الديمقراطيون في الكونغرس، الذين كانوا تاريخيا من أبرز الداعمين لإسرائيل، أكثر صراحة في انتقادهم لطريقة إدارة رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو للحرب على حركة حماس.
