عون يعلق على تقارير "المنطقة العازلة" جنوبي لبنان

علق الرئيس اللبناني جوزيف عون، مساء السبت، على ما تردد في وسائل إعلام مؤخرا عن نية إسرائيل إنشاء منطقة عازلة جنوبي لبنان.

وفي لقاء مع عضو الكونغرس الأميركي السيناتور دارين لحود وعضو مجلس النواب الأميركي ستيف كوهين، أكد عون أن "لبنان لم يُبلغ رسميا بأي شيء مما تم تداوله في الإعلام، حول نية إسرائيل إقامة منطقة عازلة في الجنوب".

وشدد، في تصريحات نشرتها الوكالة الوطنية للإعلام الرسمية في لبنان، على أهمية التجديد لقوات الأمم المتحدة (يونيفيل) جنوبي البلاد، لحين تطبيق القرار 1701 كاملا، بما يشمل انسحاب إسرائيل من الأراضي التي تسيطر عليها، وإعادة المحتجزين، واستكمال انتشار الجيش اللبناني حتى الحدود المعترف بها دوليا.

وحذر عون من "خطورة إنهاء مهمتها في القريب قبل إتمام هذه الإجراءات".
