أعلنت وزارة الطوارئ الروسية، اليوم الجمعة، عن رصد زلزال بقوة 5.6 درجات بمقياس ريختر بالقرب من سواحل شبه جزيرة كامتشاتكا بالشرق الأقصى الروسي.

وقالت الطوارئ الروسية، في بيان صحفي:"منذ الزلزال العنيف الذي ضرب أقصى شرق البلاد الشهر الماضي، يسجل العلماء الهزات الارتدادية بشكل يومي، معظمها غير محسوس في المناطق المأهولة بالسكان، كما أن شدتها وقوتها آخذة في التناقص تدريجيا.

والشهر الماضي وقع أقوى زلزال خلال فترة الرصد بأكملها قبالة سواحل كامتشاتكا، حيث بلغت قوته 8.8 درجات على مقياس ريختر. وسجلت هيئة الأرصاد الجوية المائية الروسية حينها موجة تسونامي وصل ارتفاعها إلى أربعة أمتار في المنطقة ما أحداث أضرارًا مادية واسعة.
