أعلنت شرطة بلدة رادنور في ولاية بنسلفانيا أنها استجابت، مساء الجمعة، لبلاغ عن إطلاق نار داخل جامعة فيلانوفا، مشيرة إلى أنه لم يتم الإبلاغ عن أي ضحايا حتى الآن.

وطلبت الشرطة من السكان والطلاب القريبين البقاء في أماكنهم إلى حين وصول عناصر الأمن وإرشادهم إلى مناطق آمنة.

من جانبها، دعت إدارة الجامعة جميع الموجودين في الحرم الجامعي إلى الابتعاد عن قاعة سكاربا التابعة لكلية الحقوق، والانتقال إلى أماكن آمنة مع إغلاق الأبواب أو تحصينها.

وتواصل قوات إنفاذ القانون عمليات تفتيش داخل كلية الحقوق بحثًا عن أي ضحايا أو مشتبه بهم، في وقت لا تزال طبيعة الحادث غير واضحة.
