أكد وزير الخارجية الروسي سيرغي لافروف، الخميس، أنّ بلاده ترفض تواجد قوات أجنبية على الأراضي الأوكرانية في حال تم التوصل إلى اتفاق سلام ووقف إطلاق النار مع كييف، مبينا أن ذلك يحد من فرص التوصل إلى اتفاق.

وقال لافروف خلال مؤتمر صحفي: "وجود قوات أجنبية في أوكرانيا أمر غير مقبول على الإطلاق بالنسبة لروسيا، المبادرات الأحادية لضمان أمن أوكرانيا غير مجدية، موسكو ترفض الضمانات الأمنية لأوكرانيا القائمة على منطق المواجهة الروسية، وترى أن التوصل إلى اتفاق لوقف إطلاق النار وإحلال السلام في أوكرانيا ممكن من خلال المفاوضات المشتركة".
