دعت 27 دولة بينها فرنسا والمملكة المتحدة وألمانيا، اسرائيل إلى السماح فورا بدخول وسائل الإعلام الاجنبية الى غزة وحماية الصحافيين في القطاع، وذلك في بيان مشترك صدر الخميس.

وقالت هذه الدول، الأعضاء في ائتلاف لحماية وسائل الاعلام إن "الصحافيين والعاملين في وسائل الاعلام يؤدون دورا حيويا لتسليط الضوء على الواقع المدمر للحرب".

واستهدفت ضربات إسرائيلية مكثّفة مدينة غزة والمناطق المحيطة بها خلال الساعات الماضية، غداة إعلان الجيش الإسرائيلي بدء العمليات التمهيدية للسيطرة على المدينة.
