إقبال لافت على قطاع المطاعم بالمملكة

أكد نقيب أصحاب المطاعم والحلويات عمر عواد، وجود إقبال لافت وكبير على قطاع المطاعم في المملكة.

وقال عواد، إن نشاط قطاع المطاعم خلال الفترة الحالية يشهد انتعاشا بالتزامن مع تواجد المغتربين الأردنيين العاملين بالخارج، لقضاء إجازاتهم داخل المملكة، علاوة على إقامة المهرجانات المختلفة والمناسبات الاجتماعية.

وأضاف، إن هذا النشاط يؤكد حاجة القطاع للأيدي العاملة، لاسيما في ظل انتعاش الحركة، مبينا أن القطاع يعاني من نقص بالأيدي العاملة في المهن النادرة.

وأشار الى أن قطاع المطاعم والحلويات يشكل ركيزة أساسية من ركائز السياحة الداخلية ويلعب دورا مساندا لقطاعي السياحة والضيافة.

وأوضح أن عدد المطاعم بعموم المملكة يصل لنحو 20 ألف مطعم، تشغل نحو 350 ألف عامل وعاملة.
