وجّه رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتانياهو الثلاثاء انتقادات لاذعة لنظيره الأسترالي أنتوني ألبانيزي، واصفا إياه بـ"سياسي ضعيف خان إسرائيل"، في خضم توتر دبلوماسي بين البلدين منذ إعلان كانبيرا أنها ستعترف بدولة فلسطينية الشهر المقبل.

وجاء في منشور على حساب مكتب نتانياهو على إكس "سيذكر التاريخ ألبانيزي على ما هو عليه: سياسي ضعيف خان إسرائيل وتخلّى عن يهود أستراليا". وأتى ذلك بعد انتقاد أستراليا قرار الدولة العبرية سحب تأشيرات ممثليها الدبلوماسيين لدى السلطة الفلسطينية، ردا على إلغاء كانبيرا تأشيرة دخول لسياسي إسرائيلي من اليمين المتطرف.
