في خطوة تاريخية ضمن مسيرة التحول الرقمي في الأردن، شهدت دائرة الأحوال المدنية والجوازات، اليوم الثلاثاء، إصدار أول جواز سفر أردني إلكتروني لأول مرة في الأردن.

وتابع وزيرا الداخلية مازن الفراية، ووزير الاقتصاد الرقمي سامي سميرات، عملية إصدار الجواز في مبنى الدائرة.

وتأتي هذه الخطوة كجزء من استراتيجية الحكومة لتحديث الخدمات المقدمة للمواطنين، حيث يهدف جواز السفر الإلكتروني إلى تعزيز أمن وثائق السفر الأردنية وتسهيل إجراءات تنقل المسافرين في المطارات العالمية التي تعتمد على البوابات الإلكترونية.

ويعد إطلاق جواز السفر الإلكتروني نقلة نوعية في الخدمات التي تقدمها دائرة الأحوال المدنية والجوازات، بما يتماشى مع أحدث المعايير الدولية في مجال وثائق السفر.
