مجلس الأمن يجتمع اليوم بشأن خطة إسرائيل للسيطرة على غزة

يعقد مجلس الأمن التابع للأمم المتحدة الأحد، اجتماعا لمناقشة خطة إسرائيل للسيطرة على مدينة غزة، وفق ما أفادت مصادر دبلوماسية.

وسيعقد الاجتماع بطلب من أعضاء عدة في مجلس الأمن في خضم قلق دولي متزايد إزاء الخطة الإسرائيلية.

وقبيل ذلك، حذّر الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة أنطونيو غوتيريش إسرائيل، عبر متحدثة باسمه، من "تصعيد خطير" من شأنه "مفاقمة التداعيات الكارثية التي يواجهها ملايين الفلسطينيين".

ورحبت البعثة الفلسطينية في الأمم المتحدة بالاجتماع.

وأثار قرار بنيامين نتنياهو إصدار الأوامر للجيش الإسرائيلي بالسيطرة على مدينة غزة غضبا في مختلف أنحاء العالم.

وحذّر غوتيريش من أن هذا الإجراء قد يؤدي إلى "مزيد من النزوح القسري والقتل والدمار الشامل، ما يؤدي إلى تفاقم معاناة الفلسطينيين التي لا يمكن تصورها في غزة".
