قال نائب الرئيس الأميركي، جيه.دي فانس، الجمعة، إنّ الولايات المتحدة ليس لديها أي خطط للاعتراف بدولة فلسطينية، وهي مسألة يعتزم مناقشتها مع وزير الخارجية البريطاني ديفيد لامي في اجتماع اليوم.

وأضاف فانس للصحفيين "ليس لدينا أي خطط للاعتراف بدولة فلسطينية. لا أعرف ما الذي يعنيه الاعتراف بدولة فلسطينية حقا بالنظر إلى عدم وجود حكومة فاعلة هناك".

وتابع أن الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب "واضح للغاية بشأن أهدافه، وما يريد تحقيقه في الشرق الأوسط، وسيواصل القيام بذلك".

ويجتمع فانس مع لامي في تشيفنينج هاوس.
