أفادت وكالة بلومبرغ، الجمعة بأن واشنطن وموسكو تسعيان للتوصل إلى اتفاق لوقف الحرب في أوكرانيا من شأنه أن يُثبت "احتلال روسيا للأراضي التي استولت عليها خلال غزوها العسكري".

ويعمل مسؤولون أميركيون وروس على التوصل إلى اتفاق بشأن تلك الأراضي تمهيدا لقمة مرتقبة بين الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب ونظيره الروسي فلاديمير بوتين الأسبوع المقبل.
