قال الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب، الخميس، إنه يعتزم ترشيح ستيفن ميران رئيس مجلس مستشاريه الاقتصاديين لشغل منصب شاغر في مجلس الاحتياطي الاتحادي (البنك المركزي الأميركي).

وسيشغل ميران المنصب الذي شغلته عضو المجلس أدريانا كوجلر بعد الإعلان المفاجئ قبل أيام عن استقالتها وعودتها للعمل أستاذة بجامعة في جامعة جورج تاون.

ويدعو ميران إلى إجراء إصلاح شامل لحوكمة البنك يتضمن تقصير مدة أعضائه وجعل تبعيتهم للرئيس الأميركي بشكل واضح.
