رفعت شركة الكهرباء الوطنية جاهزيتها، الجمعة، للتعامل مع موجة الحر التي تسود المملكة.

وقال المدير العام للشركة سفيان البطاينة، إن الشركة وضمن خطط محددة ترفع جاهزيتها لمواجهة الأحمال الكهربائية خلال موجة الحر وتنفذ في مثل هذه الحالات الخطط التشغيلية الملائمة وتتابع محطات التوليد وجاهزيتها لاستيعاب الطلب على الطاقة الكهربائية المتوقعة خلال موجة الحر الحالية.

وأضاف أن النظام الكهربائي في الأردن سواء في شبكة النقل أو التوليد رفع جاهزيته لمواجهة الطلب على الكهرباء، مؤكدا أن الشركة استكملت برامج الصيانة الدورية والوقائية تدعمها استطاعة توليدية كافية لاستيعاب الأحمال الناجمة عن ارتفاع درجات الحرارة.
