قال الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترمب في مقابلة هاتفية قصيرة مع موقع "أكسيوس" اليوم الجمعة، إنه يعمل على خطة "لتوفير الطعام" في غزة.

وصرّح ترمب قائلا: "نريد مساعدة الناس، نريد مساعدتهم على العيش، نريد إطعامهم، كان يجب أن يحدث هذا منذ زمن طويل".

وأعرب ترمب عن قلقه إزاء المجاعة، وفقًا لـ"أكسيوس"، لكنه حمّل "حماس" مسؤولية سرقة المساعدات.

وصرح ترمب لـ"أكسيوس" بأنه لم يتلقَّ إحاطة من مبعوثه إلى الشرق الأوسط، ستيف ويتكوف، الذي زار موقعًا مثيرًا للجدل لتوزيع المساعدات في غزة، مدعومًا من الولايات المتحدة، تديره مؤسسة غزة الإنسانية (GHF)، الجمعة، ولكن لم يُفصح ترمب عن تفاصيل الخطة أو ما إذا كانت ستشمل دعمًا إضافيًا لمؤسسة غزة الإنسانية.
