صرح مصدر عسكري مسؤول في القيادة العامة للقوات المسلحة الأردنية – الجيش العربي، ان المنطقة العسكرية الجنوبية بالتنسيق مع الأجهزة الأمنية العسكرية وإدارة مكافحة المخدرات، أحبطت اليوم الخميس، محاولة تهريب كمية من المواد المخدرة بواسطة طائرة مسيرة (درون) على واجهتها الغربية ضمن منطقة مسؤوليتها.

وأضاف، إن قوات حرس الحدود في المنطقة العسكرية الجنوبية قامت بتطبيق قواعد الاشتباك بعد رصد الطائرة ومتابعتها وتم التعامل معها وإسقاطها داخل الأراضي الأردنية وتحويل المضبوطات إلى الجهات المختصة.

وأكد المصدر أن القوات المسلحة تعمل بكل قوة وحزم للحيلولة دون وصول هذه المواد المخدرة إلى أبناء الوطن والتأثير على الأمن الوطني
