التقت وزيرة السياحة والآثار لينا عناب، في مقر الوزارة، الثلاثاء، عددًا من ممثلي ومنظمي ماراثون الرمال العالمي، لمناقشة ترتيبات استضافة النسخة الجديدة من الفعالية العالمية المقرر تنظيمها في وادي رم خلال شهر تشرين الثاني المقبل.

وأكدت الوزيرة عناب، خلال اللقاء، أهمية الحدث كمنصة رياضية وسياحية عالمية تعزز مكانة الأردن على خريطة الفعاليات الدولية، ودور الماراثون في الترويج للسياحة المستدامة في جنوب المملكة.

يشار إلى أن الماراثون تجربة رياضية وإنسانية فريدة، تجمع بين التحدي البدني الشديد، والمغامرة الصحراوية، والتضامن بين آلاف المتسابقين حول العالم.
