قال الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب، الاثنين، إنه يجري محادثات مع رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو بشأن تطورات الأوضاع في قطاع غزة، مؤكداً أن هناك "خططًا مختلفة" سيتم طرحها قريباً.

وأضاف ترامب للصحفيين بعد اجتماعه مع رئيس الوزراء البريطاني كير ستارمر في منتجعه للجولف في اسكتلندا، أن "من الصعب التعامل مع حركة حماس"، مشيراً إلى أن الإدارة الأميركية تعمل على إيصال المساعدات الإنسانية إلى من يحتاجونها داخل القطاع.

وأكد ترامب عزمه إنشاء مراكز لتوزيع الطعام في غزة، موضحًا أن هذه المراكز "ستكون مفتوحة دون قيود" بهدف ضمان وصول الغذاء إلى السكان المتضررين.

وأعرب عن أمله في أن تصل المساعدات إلى مستحقيها في أقرب وقت.
