قالت الحكومة الألمانية، الاثنين، إنها مستعدة لاتخاذ خطوات للضغط على إسرائيل بشأن الوضع الإنساني في قطاع غزة، لكنها لم تذكر تفاصيل حول ماهية هذه الخطوات.

وقال متحدث باسم الحكومة الألمانية "كان المستشار واضحا للغاية في المحادثة الهاتفية مع رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي (بنيامين نتنياهو) بأن الحكومة الاتحادية مستعدة لزيادة الضغط إذا لم يتم إحراز تقدم".

وأضاف "نحن مستعدون من حيث المبدأ لاتخاذ مزيد من الخطوات، وهذا هو أيضا الغرض من الاجتماع الأمني ظهر اليوم"، في إشارة إلى اجتماع لمجلس الوزراء الأمني الألماني.
