هدّد وزير الدفاع الإسرائيلي، يسرائيل كاتس، الأحد، باغتيال المرشد الإيراني علي خامنئي، قائلا "سنصل إليك شخصيا".

ونقلت صحيفة "جيروزاليم بوست" عن كاتس قوله، خلال زيارته قاعدة رامون الجوية التابعة لسلاح الجو الإسرائيلي يوم الأحد: "أريد أن أوجّه رسالة واضحة إلى الديكتاتور خامنئي".

وأضاف: "إذا واصلتم تهديد إسرائيل، فستصل يدنا الطويلة إلى إيران مجددا، وبقوة أكبر، وهذه المرة ستطالكم شخصيا".

وأكد كاتس: "لا تهددونا، وإلا ستتعرضون للأذى".
