محكمة التمييز الفرنسية تلغي مذكرة التوقيف بحق بشار الأسد

اعتبرت محكمة التمييز الفرنسية الجمعة أن لا استثناء يمكن أن يرفع حصانة رئيس دولة، ملغية بذلك مذكرة توقيف أصدرها قضاة تحقيق في باريس بحق الرئيس السوري المخلوع بشار الأسد بتهمة شنّ هجمات كيميائية في العام 2013 خلال الحرب في سوريا.

لكن رئيس أعلى هيئة قضائية في فرنسا كريستوف سولار رأى في ختام جلسة علنية نقلت بصورة غير مسبوقة عبر الإنترنت، أنه بما أن بشار لم يعد رئيسا بعد إطاحته في كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2024، "فمن الممكن أن تكون مذكرات توقيف جديدة صدرت أو ستصدر بحقه" في قضايا جرائم حرب وجرائم ضد الإنسانية، وبالتالي فمن الممكن مواصلة التحقيق القضائي بحقه".
