رحّب رئيس الوزراء الإسباني بيدرو سانشيز الخميس بإعلان فرنسا أنها ستنضم إلى إسبانيا في الاعتراف بدولة فلسطين، قائلا إن هذه الخطوة من شأنها أن "تحمي" حلّ قيام دولتين، إسرائيل وفلسطين، تعيشان جنبا إلى جنب.

وجاء في منشور على منصة إكس لسانشيز الذي يُعتبر معارضا بشدة للعمليات العسكرية الإسرائيلية في غزة "معا، يتعيّن علينا حماية ما يحاول (رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين) نتانياهو تدميره. حلّ الدولتين هو الحل الوحيد".
