حذر المدير العام لمنظمة الصحة العالمية تيدروس أدهانوم غيبريسوس الأربعاء من انتشار المجاعة في غزة، في وقت تدخل القطاع المحاصر والمدمّر شحنات غذاء "أقل بكثير مما هو مطلوب لبقاء السكان على قيد الحياة".

وقال تيدروس للصحافيين إنّ "جزءا كبيرا من سكان غزة يتضوّرون جوعا. لا أعرف ماذا يمكن تسمية الأمر غير مجاعة جماعية، وهي من صنع الإنسان".
