أعلن وزير الجيوش الفرنسي سيباستيان لوكورنو الأربعاء تعيين رئيس هيئة الأركان الرئاسية الخاصة الجنرال فابيان ماندون، رئيسا لأركان الجيش الفرنسي ليخلف بذلك الجنرال تييري بوركار.

وأعرب الوزير على منصة "إكس" عن "الامتنان والشكر للجنرال تييري بوركار الذي خدم فرنسا على أعلى مستوى لمدة أربع سنوات كرئيس لأركان الجيش".

وأضاف "بقرار من رئيس الجمهورية، سيخلفه الجنرال فابيان ماندون".

وماندون هو أول طيار يتولى هذا المنصب منذ الجنرال جان فيليب دوان قبل 30 عاما (بين عامي 1995 و1998).

وأكد الوزير "ثقته التامة في قدرته على مواصلة، بحزم وعزم، تحول قواتنا في سياق أمني أكثر تطلبا".
