صرّح مصدر عسكري مسؤول في القيادة العامة للقوات المسلحة الأردنية – الجيش العربي، أن المنطقة العسكرية الجنوبية، وبالتنسيق مع الأجهزة الأمنية العسكرية، تمكّنت أمس الثلاثاء من إحباط محاولة تسلل طائرة مسيّرة، وذلك على واجهتها الغربية ضمن منطقة مسؤوليتها.

وأضاف المصدر أن قوات حرس الحدود طبقت قواعد الاشتباك بعد رصد الطائرة ومتابعتها، وجرى إسقاطها داخل الأراضي الأردنية، وتحويلها إلى الجهات المختصة لاتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة.

وأكد المصدر أن القوات المسلحة الأردنية – الجيش العربي، تواصل تنفيذ واجباتها بكل كفاءة ويقظة، لمنع كافة أشكال عمليات التسلل والتهريب للمحافظة على أمن واستقرار المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية.
