بلغت نسبة الإنجاز في مشروع بوابة أم الجمال 80 بالمئة، وفقًا لرئيس لجنة البلدية، محمد أبو عليم.

وقال أبو عليم إن البلدية بدأت بتنفيذ مشروع البوابة المستوحاة من الحضارات التي مرت على موقع أم الجمال الأثري، بعد إدراج الموقع الأثري ضمن قائمة التراث العالمي لليونسكو.

وأضاف لـ (بترا)، اليوم السبت، أن البوابة يُتوقع الانتهاء منها أواخر آب المقبل، مبينًا أن تكلفة المشروع تبلغ 220 ألف دينار، منها 100 ألف دينار من وزارة السياحة والآثار.

وأشار إلى أن البوابة ستكون فريدة من نوعها، لا سيما أن التوقعات تشير إلى أن موقع أم الجمال الأثري سيشهد حركة سياحية نشطة خلال الفترة المقبلة بعد إدراجه على لائحة التراث العالمي.
