دعت المديرة التنفيذية لليونيسف، كاثرين راسل، اليوم الاثنين، إسرائيل إلى مراجعة قواعد الاشتباك في غزة في أعقاب استشهاد 7 أطفال كانوا ينتظرون في طابور للحصول على الماء عند نقطة توزيع.

وأضافت راسل أن الحادث وقع بعد أيام قليلة من استشهاد عدد من النساء والأطفال أثناء وقوفهم في طوابير للحصول على إمدادات غذائية، مشددة على ضرورة قيام السلطات الإسرائيلية ضمان الامتثال الكامل للقانون الإنساني الدولي، ولا سيما حماية المدنيين، بمن فيهم الأطفال.

من جانبها، قالت وكالة الأمم المتحدة لإغاثة وتشغيل اللاجئين الفلسطينيين (الأونروا) في منشور على منصة إكس إن "شاحنات محملة بالمواد الغذائية والإمدادات الطبية تنتظر في المستودعات" خارج القطاع.

ودعت الأونروا إلى وقف تجويع المدنيين "ورفع الحصار والسماح لها بأداء عملها لإنقاذ الأرواح.
