الولايات المتحدة توافق على بيع النروج مروحيات بقيمة 2,6 مليار دولار

أعلنت الولايات المتحدة الجمعة موافقتها على بيع مروحيات إنقاذ قتالية ومعدات ذات صلة بقيمة 2,6 مليار دولار للنروج، البلد العضو في حلف شمال الأطلسي والمجاور لروسيا.

وقالت الوكالة الأميركية للتعاون الأمني الدفاعي في بيان "من شأن هذه الصفقة أن تعزّز قدرة النروج على مواجهة التهديدات الحالية والمستقبلية من خلال زيادة قدراتها في القتال الجوي والعمليات الخاصة".

وأضافت "ستستخدم النروج هذه الطائرات للدفاع عن أعضاء آخرين في حلف شمال الأطلسي وعن حلفائها. لن تجد النروج صعوبة في دمج هذه المعدات والخدمات في قواتها المسلحة".

ووافقت وزارة الخارجية على عملية البيع، وقدمت وكالة التعاون الأمني الدفاعي الجمعة الإخطار المطلوب إلى الكونغرس الأميركي الذي ما زال يتوجب عليه المصادقة على الصفقة.
