وضع رئيس الوزراء الدكتور جعفر حسّان حجر الأساس لمشروع إنشاء خزانين للغاز البترولي المسال في مستودعات شركة مصفاة البترول الأردنية في العقبة، بسعة إجمالية تبلغ 2000 طن متري، وبتكلفة تتجاوز 15 مليون دينار.

ويهدف المشروع إلى تعزيز منظومة تخزين وتوزيع الغاز البترولي المسال، وخفض الكلف التشغيلية المرتبطة بنقله، إلى جانب المساهمة في تعزيز أمن التزود بالطاقة على المستوى الوطني.
