دعا الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب، الأربعاء، مجلس الاحتياطي الاتحادي إلى خفض سعر الفائدة القياسي 3 نقاط مئوية على الأقل، مجددا دعوته للبنك المركزي الأميركي بتيسير السياسة النقدية للمساعدة في خفض تكلفة خدمة ديون البلاد.

وقال ترامب عبر منصة تروث سوشيال "سعر الفائدة أعلى مما ينبغي بثلاث نقاط على الأقل. ’التأخر الشديد’ يكلف الولايات المتحدة في إعادة تمويل الديون 360 مليار دولار عن كل نقطة سنويا. لا تضخم، الشركات تتدفق إلى أميركا. ’البلد الأكثر نشاطا في العالم!’ خفضوا سعر الفائدة!!!".
