قرر مجلس الوزراء، الأربعاء، الموافقة على تمديد العمل بقرار إعفاء تذاكر السفر بالجو، لشركات الطيران من مطار الملك حسين الدولي في العقبة من الضريبة الخاصة لمدة ثلاث سنوات، على صعيد دعم القطاع السياحي وتحفيز الأنشطة الاقتصادية.

ويهدف القرار إلى تشجيع السياحة إلى المملكة، خصوصا إلى مدينة العقبة واستقطاب المزيد من خطوط الطيران، وبالتالي زيادة أعداد السياح ومعدل إقامتهم في المملكة من خلال تخفيض تكاليف رحلات الطيران، بما يسهم في رفد القطاع السياحي وتعزيز مساهمته في الاقتصاد الوطني.
