رصد علماء متخصصون إطلاق الشمس انبعاثات بلازمية، بلغ طولها نحو مليون كيلومتر، إلى الفضاء، تشبه إعصارًا من الغاز الساخن. وحدث الانبعاث مقابل كوكب الأرض، على الجانب المرئي من الشمس. وسيتضح تأثير الانبعاث على "الطقس الفضائي" لكوكبنا، في النصف الثاني من اليوم، كما أفاد العلماء.
