قال البيت الأبيض إن "الأولوية القصوى" للرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب هي إنهاء الحرب في غزة وتحرير الرهائن المحتجزين لدى حركة حماس، قبل اجتماعه برئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتانياهو مساء الاثنين.

وقالت المتحدثة باسم البيت الأبيض كارولاين ليفيت للصحافيين إن المبعوث الخاص لترامب ستيف ويتكوف سيتوجه في وقت لاحق من هذا الأسبوع إلى قطر حيث تجري مباحثات غير مباشرة بين إسرائيل وحماس.
