قال وزير الداخلية مازن الفراية، إن قرابة 97 ألف لاجئ سوري عادوا طوعا من الأردن إلى بلادهم منذ بداية العام الجاري.

وكانت المفوضية السامية للأمم المتحدة لشؤون اللاجئين (UNHCR)، قالت إن أكثر من 100 ألف لاجئ سوري عادوا طوعا من الأردن إلى بلادهم، وذلك منذ 8 كانون الأول 2024 وحتى 30 حزيران 2025.

وأرجع المتحدث باسم المفوضية، يوسف طه، ارتفاع أعداد اللاجئين السوريين العائدين طوعاً من الأردن إلى بلادهم إلى تحسّن الأوضاع الأمنية والاقتصادية في سوريا، ورفع العقوبات، إضافة إلى انتهاء العام الدراسي.

وتوقّع طه ارتفاع وتيرة عودة اللاجئين السوريين إلى بلادهم بعد انتهاء فترة امتحانات الثانوية العامة في الأردن.
