قرر مجلس بلدية إربد الكبرى بالإجماع الموافقة على تنسيب لجنة التسمية والترقيم في البلدية، والذي تم بموجبه تثبيت اسم "ميدان فضل الدلقموني" على الميدان الواقع وسط شارع فضل الدلقموني، غرب المدينة الصناعية.

وأكد رئيس البلدية، الدكتور المهندس نبيل الكوفحي، أن المجلس البلدي الحالي أسس عمله على نهج التشاركية مع مختلف الجهات، وعلى رأسها المجتمع المحلي، مشدداً على احترام البلدية لآراء أبناء المدينة والأخذ بها دائماً على محمل الجد، لافتاً إلى أن هذا القرار جاء بعد أن لمست البلدية رفضاً شعبياً لتغيير اسم الميدا
