صرح مدير مستشفى الملك المؤسس عبدالله الجامعي الدكتور حسان البلص اسعف فجر اليوم، رجل خمسيني الى طوارىء المستشفى بعد تناوله مادة كحولية يُشتبه في أنها مادة كحولية سامة.

وأوضح الدكتور البلص أن الرجل وصل إلى قسم الطوارئ في فجر اليوم ، وأن الكوادر الطبية حاولت إنعاش المريض وتقديم الإسعافات اللازمة له، لكن للأسف،كان قد فارق الحياة وأشار البلص إلى أن "الأعراض التي ظهرت على المتوفى تتشابه مع ما تم رصده في حالات التسمم السابقة بمواد كحولية مماثلة.

وقد فتحت الأجهزة الأمنية تحقيقًا فوريًا في الحادثة للكشف عن ملابساتها وتحديد مصدر المادة السامة.
