جدّد الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب الثلاثاء التأكيد على أنّ الضربة العسكرية التي شنّتها قواته على إيران الأحد "دمّرت بالكامل" المواقع النووية الثلاثة التي استهدفتها، نافيا بذلك صحّة تقارير إعلامية نقلت عن مصادر استخبارية أنّ الضربة لم تؤدّ سوى لتأخير برنامج طهران النووي بضعة أشهر.

وكتب ترامب في منشور على منصته "تروث سوشل" للتواصل الاجتماعي أنّ "شبكة +سي إن إن+ للأخبار الكاذبة، بالتعاون مع صحيفة نيويورك تايمز الفاشلة، ضافرتا جهودهما لتشويه سمعة إحدى أنجح الضربات العسكرية في التاريخ. المواقع النووية في إيران دُمّرت بالكامل!".
