دان الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة أنطونيو غوتيريش الإثنين الهجوم الذي شنّته إيران على قاعدة العديد الأميركية في قطر، معربا عن "قلقه البالغ إزاء التصعيد الجديد للنزاع في الشرق الأوسط".

وقال ستيفان دوجاريك المتحدث باسم الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة في بيان إنّه "منذ بداية الأزمة، دان الأمين العام مرارا كل تصعيد عسكري في هذا النزاع، بما في ذلك هجوم إيران اليوم على أراضي قطر"، مكررا دعوة غوتيريش جميع الأطراف إلى "وقف المعارك" واحترام ميثاق الأمم المتحدة والقانون الدولي.
