انتقد مندوب إيران الدائم لدى الأمم المتحدة الأحد خلال اجتماع لمجلس الأمن، الولايات المتحدة بشدة واتهمها بشن حرب على بلاده تحت "ذرائع واهية".

وقال أمير سعيد إيرواني في الاجتماع الطارىء بشأن الضربات الأميركية على إيران إن "الولايات المتحدة، وهي عضو دائم في هذا المجلس (...) لجأت مجددا إلى استخدام قوة غير مشروعة، وشنت حربا على بلدي، تحت ذرائع مختلقة وواهية: منع إيران من امتلاك أسلحة نووية".
