قالت وزارة الداخلية السورية الأحد إن الانتحاري الذي فجر نفسه داخل كنيسة في دمشق يتبع "لتنظيم داعش الإرهابي"، في اشارة الى تنظيم الدولة الإسلامية، ما أسفر عن مقتل أكثر من 15 شخصا، في حصيلة أولية للدفاع المدني السوري.

وأوردت الداخلية في بيان "أقدم انتحاري يتبع لتنظيم داعش الإرهابي على الدخول إلى كنيسة القديس مار إلياس في حي الدويلعة في العاصمة دمشق، حيث أطلق النار، ثم فجّر نفسه بواسطة سترة ناسفة".

وأفاد الدفاع المدني السوري في منشور على منصة إكس عن "مجزرة دامية ضحيتها أكثر من 15 قتيلاً وعدد من الجرحى في حصيلة أولية".
