أجرى نائب رئيس الوزراء ووزير الخارجية وشؤون المغتربين أيمن الصفدي، اتصالًا هاتفيًّا مع نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء ووزير الخارجية العراقي فؤاد حسين، بحثا خلاله التصعيد الذي تشهده المنطقة، وجهود إنهائه.

وأكّد الصفدي وحسين ضرورة تكاتف الجهود لوقف التصعيد الذي يهدد أمن واستقرار المنطقة برمتها، وأهمية العودة لمسار المفاوضات للبرنامج النووي الإيراني.

وبحث الوزيران التحضيرات الجارية للمشاركة في اجتماع الدول الأعضاء في منظمة التعاون الإسلامي، المُقرَّر عقده في مدينة إسطنبول مطلع الأسبوع المقبل.
