طلب الرئيس الفرنسي ايمانويل ماكرون من وزير الخارجية جان-نويل بارو أن يطلق "في الأيام المقبلة مبادرة، مع الشركاء الاوروبيين القريبين، لاقتراح تسوية تفاوضية ملحة في شكل ينهي النزاع" بين اسرائيل وايران.

وقالت الرئاسة الفرنسية في بيان الاربعاء إنه خلال اجتماع لمجلس الدفاع والامن القومي في الاليزيه، أعرب ماكرون "عن قلقه حيال التصعيد القائم، مع ضربات إسرائيلية على مزيد من الاهداف التي لا صلة لها بالبرنامج النووي والبالستي الايراني، وعدد متزايد من الضحايا المدنيين في ايران واسرائيل"، معتبرا أن "من الضروري وضع حد سريع لهذه العمليات العسكرية"، وطالبا من وزارة الخارجية "اتخاذ التدابير الضرورية" لتسهيل مغادرة المواطنين الفرنسيين لايران واسرائيل.
