أكد الناطق الإعلامي في بلدية إربد الكبرى غيث التل أن جميع حدائق البلدية بما فيها حدائق الملك عبدالله الثاني تعمل حالياً كالمعتاد دون وجود أي قرار جديد بالإغلاق مبينا أن البلدية ملتزمة بتنفيذ التعليمات التي تصدر عن مركز إدارة الأزمات فقط وهي الجهة المخولة بإصدار قرارات تتعلق بالإغلاقات أو الإجراءات الأمنية.

وأشار التل إلى أن إغلاق حدائق البلدية ليلة أمس عند الساعة التاسعة مساء جاء استجابة لتطورات الأوضاع الإقليمية بين إيران وإسرائيل والتي رافقها إطلاق صفارات الإنذار في محافظة إربد مضيفا أن القرار جاء احترازيا وضمن إطار السلامة العامة وبالتنسيق مع الجهات المختصة.

وأكد التل أن أي قرارات لاحقة تتعلق بعمل الحدائق أو مرافق البلدية الأخرى ستصدر بناء على المستجدات الأمنية والتعليمات الرسمية مشيرا إلى أن البلدية تضع سلامة المواطنين وزوار الحدائق على رأس أولوياتها.
