بحث نائب رئيس الوزراء ووزير الخارجية وشؤون المغتربين أيمن الصفدي مع نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء وزير الخارجية العراقي الدكتور فؤاد حسين، التداعيات الإقليمية والدولية للعدوان الإسرائيلي على إيران، والذي دانه الوزيران خرقًا للقانون الدولي، وخرقًا لسيادة دولة عضو في الأمم المتحدة، وتصعيدًا خطيرًا.

وشدّد الصفدي وحسين في اتصال هاتفي على ضرورة إطلاق تحرك إقليمي ودولي فاعل لخفض التصعيد، وحماية المنطقة من تبعات الانزلاق نحو حرب إقليمية.

وأكّد الوزيران أهمية معالجة جذور الصراع والتوتر في المنطقة، والاستمرار في المفاوضات الأمريكية الإيرانية المُستهدِفة التوصل لاتفاق حول الملف النووي.
