دعت الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة الخميس إلى وقف فوري لإطلاق النار في غزة واتّخاذ "كل التدابير اللازمة" للصغط على إسرائيل، وذلك بعد استخدام الولايات المتحدة حق النقض في مجلس الأمن ضد مشروع قرار لوقف الحرب.

وتمّ تبنّي القرار بـ149 صوتا، وقد صوّتت ضده 12 دولة بينها الولايات المتحدة وإسرائيل فيما امتنعت 19 دولة عن التصويت.
