من المتوقع أن يصوت، الكنيست الإسرائيلي، الأربعاء، على حل نفسه، بطلب من المعارضة الإسرائيلية.

وجاءت الخطوة في أعقاب نزاع بشأن مشروع قانون لتجنيد المزيد من اليهود المتشددين "الحرديم" في الخدمة العسكرية.

وكانت المحكمة العليا الإسرائيلية، قررت في 25 حزيران 2024، بإلزام اليهود (الحريديم) بأداء الخدمة العسكرية، ووقف الدعم المالي للمؤسسات الدينية التي يرفض طلابها التجنيد.

وسيتم حل الكنيست فقط في حالة اجتياز الاقتراح 4 عمليات تصويت منفصلة، وهي: القراءة الأولية اليوم الأربعاء، وتتبعها 3 قراءات إضافية.

وتتطلب الموافقة النهائية حصول الاقتراح على أغلبية 61 صوتا من أصوات أعضاء الكنيست البالغ عددهم 120.
